Free theme..... The global warming

Hello everybody! this is my last post in this blog. So I want to finish this blog with a special theme. And I thought that something special and important to me, is the global warming.
I really don't understand how can be people who doesn´t believe that the global warmig is a fact. Yesterday, I heard someone telling to other pearson that the global warming was a lie. Really? The people is doesn´t seeing the effects in our own country? This year we had the miracle that the rain came to the places where the drought had made a ravage.
Everyday I see how the people and the big companies are destroying our country. The thermoelectris in the north, the deforestation in the south, the lost of  our glaciers.  How can we stop this? Can we really do something? What is the power that we have in front of the big companies?  Or we don´t have any power?
A few years ago, I reed a book. The name was "The story of the stuff". Was a really interesting and inspiring book that show me one posibility to change . Maybe, we can do big things that we think that are not possible.  When a reed that book, I undertood that I can do something  like a pearson, like a consumer, etc.
I really  recomend you, to reed this book,
Good bye!!

A movie that I like and a movie that I hate...

Hello everyone! This day was very complicated for the countiuos rain in Santiago. I really love the rain and the cloudy days but Santiago is really horrible when the rain comes. Always have the same problems.... anyway. Today I am going to talk about a movie that I like and a movie that I hate. The first is really difficult because I have a lot of movies that I love and enjoy. So I will try to choose just one.
One of the movies that I like is Interestellar. I saw the movie a few months ago and I cryed a lot with the end. I like this kind of movies that have science and show the fragility of the earth.
The movie narrate the story of one family that have to suport the end of the earth planet. And the father was a experienceded astronaut and scientist. So he left his family and try to find a new home in other place in the universe. He travel with his crew trought the time, the space and a black hole. And the time is very  diferent from the earth's time. One day in the space (the black hole) is 10 years in the earth. (SPOILER ALERT!!) And when he come back to his family, his daughter is very old and he still young. Is a very interesting movie and I learn  lot from the physics and the speace and the responsability that we have to acept for our own planet, Our Home.

And one movie that I hate is Dyango unchined. I was  really dissapointed with this movie. All my classmates told me that was a great movie and when I saw it I really want to shoot the scream of the Tv. Was very boried and all the movie was shoots, long dialogues and the worst was that the movie seemed never end. When I think that the movie was and, the dialogue come back again and again. Was a torture.

That's all folks!

Citizen's detentions

Hello my friends! Today we have a new blog for you, a little more social and  about a topic that everyday is more common. I am talking about the citizen's detentions for the robbers, specially showed and riciculised in front  of the people that is walking on the streets of Santiago.
I reed an  article from "The Santiago times" called  "Robber tied up by vigilante citizens" by Laurie Blair and Dan Lewis. (I will give you the link in the end of this blog) and I thinked that the news was very basic. Just showed some testimonials from the witness in that place and reported the story  when a robber was captured by some citizens  and  was exposed naked in front of the people. It wasn't very profound.
Something that makes me think, is the fact about  the people opinions and their emotions. Make someting like that, is very powerfull. For just one momet, the people have the power to make someting that the oficial justice doesn't do .Well that kind of phenomenons could be explicated for reasons psichologicals or sociologicals. The deep anger of the people could be  consecuense of a lot of a lot of social factor like the bad justice in the country. The corruption that is doens't punished and the fact of the "revolving door" for bad laws.  The people can feel that their right will be damaged.
But... what we cand do?  What kind of justice we have to give if our own chilean justice is terrible? Maybe this situation  is the reflection od something more deep and important.

That's all.

Copa América

Hello everyone, today I have to talk abot the "Copa América" and I know that I dont gonna say nothing original. Every chilean pearson have in their minds the victory  of our soccer team and  all the tv shows, tv news and news paper are talking about that every day.
Fisrt... was it important? Maybe, maybe not. I think that in one sense is important because a triumph gives faith for the nex generation of  chilean players and the victory makes feel people happy, specially to  the football maniacs , the people that doesn't wanted to die without see the victory of Chile (like the some sport reporters) and the people that just wanted to be happy after the bad moments in Chile.
In another sense, (most negative) I think that The Copa America was a good chance to our goverment  to forget and dont listen the problem in the country. Somes evideces of that, were the repetitives protests of  the teachers and students, the politc scandals, that will not showed in Tv news because all the news were about footbal. In my opinion, that was very ridiculous  and a  madness.

Second, I dont want to be so serius, (But I was really furious for the football in tv all day), y enjoy the Copa América and the triumph of Chile. Y was hoarse for shout so much in the moments tha Chile played.

Third and finally.....Well I dont have more to say. I dont want to improvise.

That's all folks!

The perfect song

Hi!  How are you?

Today I have to talk about the "perfect song" but... what is a perfect song? Why something is perfect to someone and doesn't for another pearson? I think that is because a perfect thing is something thart really like to us. Make us feel happy or make us remember a especial moment that is perfect. (Well, thats is my supposition).
A perfect song to me is this one: Up around the bend by Creedence clearwater revival. Creedence was an American rock band in the 60's and 70's.

Maybe is  because I like very much the electric guitar and the powerfull voice of John Fogerty (the vocalist). I don't know the real meaning of this song. But when I am listen the  lyric it  makes me think in a travel. Like let something bad behind:  In this part:

"There's is a place up ahead  and I'm goin'
Just as fast as my feet can fly
come away, come away if you're goin'
leave the sinkin' ship behind"

In my last holidays, y went to Pichilemu with my family. We travel in our car listening this song and singing very happy (like a movie, yes), but when we were arriving to the town the car stopped and didn´t started anymore.  We had to wait a caring soul in the middle of the lonely road, dying with the horrible sun above us. We had to wait one hour. We didn't had signal in our phones in that place. Just trees and pavement. But, in one sense was funny. We had the song in the head and everithing was better when the help came. We let the bad moment behind and just we went to the beach.
For this weird reason, I like this song. It makes me remember that moment with my familly and the beach after that moment.

Is a happy song. That raise the spirit. If you want to travel with a good music, I will recommend this band and this song.
"come on the risin' wind,
we're goin' up around the bend.Ooh!"

Feel the freedom! .....That's all folks!

A picture and its story

Hello everyone!

Well this is a photo that makes me remember when the symphony orchestra of the Gladiator movie came to Chile the last year in the Movistar Arena. I was with my mother and sister, waiting in the entrance for almost 30 minutes. The concert was in the night, in a cold month, so I was really frozen  and with my sister we were drinking tea.

When the time to open the entrance came, all the people ran (including me) into the Movistar Arena and I taked the best place in front of the scream and the orchestra, in the  high stalls, I remember that I had to pay more money por the ticket because the gallery was all sold . The ticket of the high stall was more expensive, but it was worth it. The spectacle was really amazing.

Unfortunately I dont have a picture with me in that place. Because I was concentrate in record the show. I have some videos. My favourite, is when Lisa Gerrard, the woman with the beatiful voice, sang the song "Now we are free". Was an emotinal moment and I saw a lot of people crying. And when the final song ended, one man shouted "Lisa I love you!!" and all people laughed. (I think that Lisa too, if she was lintening)

This photo is when the concert had not started.  So the Movistar Arena was empty. But after a few minutes, a lot of peole cames and the place was all full. I was really surprised about the people, because all of them known the movie. And I laughted in the part of the movie when the emperator Cómodo down his thumb in signal of death and the people of movistar was doing the same.

Anyway, was an espectacular show. The music was amazing. My sister and me were really happy and my mother too. After the show, we had to leave the place and the exterior was freezing. Maybe with a few degrees below zero.

That's all folks!!

A video Clip that I like

Hi everyone! Today I am going to show you one of my favourites videos. I have a lot,  and was dificult decide and choice just one. So, I decided write about two. I hope dont make you feel boried
The first  video has a story behind. A story about me and some friends that I have. When I was in highschool in four grade, my music curse did a musical for the end of the year. The musical that we did was "Les miserables" because we wanted to make a social reflexion and a great show. "Les miserables" is a very important and dificult musical that is known in a lot of places in the world. The story inside, talks about a French society that try to fight against the unfair monarchy.
So many people of my curse worked in this musical. And, in the presentation, the show was very special, with a lot of light, microphones, customes, scenography, etc.
I like this video because it makes me remember that moment when I was singing like miss Thenadier (the fat women) on the stage. Was a great and difucult moment.

The second video is about other story of Victor Hugo. This is the Notre Dame de Paris. I like very songs of this classic musical. The story is very sad, is about the hunchback of Notre dame de Paris that is in love of Esmeralda, but she is scared of him.
I like very much the theater and musicals (not disney musical. That's are terrible).
I would like to show you videos of my favourites bands like coldplay in the concert in Canada. But I can't do it in this moment.
That's all folks!
Pd. I am going to show you the video anyway.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello again!. Well, today I am going to introduce to you my favourite piece of technology. It is not the big thing but, to me, is esscential and very important. I have a little obsession  with this and  I don't like to provide it (please forgive me, is my obsession).  So don't laught at me, but my favourite thing is:  Pencils!! especificly, my fountain pen.
My obsession started when I  was seven years old, I my father gave to me a mechanical pencil (was the first and was very pretty). I was very happy because  I had never had  pretty pens. ( I didn't have money)?. I was very carefully with the little that I have and I  hated when my classmates bite my pencils. (I wanted to kill them). After that moment ( the gift of my father) I wanted more and more every time. I wanted a more sophisticated pencil because I really love to write and I practice a lot of types of handwriting.  I started to collect collor pens,  ballpoint pens, etc. Until today I have a big collection but my favourite piece is the unique and lovely fountain pen.
I got my fountain pen the last year, in the Persa Bio Bio, with a old man that sales weird pens.  I use it in the university and when I write my novel, so I really use my fountain pen very often (every day) I like it because the words, with this pen, are very pretty. My notebook seems like an old book with old handwriting (I like old books, that is the reason).
Maybe my life without my fountain pen, would not be different. It would be the same. But, anyway I prefer to have my fountain pen in my case.
that's all folks!!

Ps: Another piece of technology that I like is my laptop, but that is another story.

My expectations for this semester

Well, this is my third semester in the sociology career. And I have new subjects: Social History of Chile, Social Theory 1, Economy 1,  Cuantitatives Techniques 1, Stadistic 2 and English 3. My favourites subjects until now are Social History of Chile and Social therory 1. They are very interestings.
Also, I am taking other subject in other faculty of University of Chile (Filosofy and History). The subject is about the history of the Árabs and the conflict with occident until today. Now, I am learning about the story of Mahoma and the age of crusades.
For now I am not taking other activities in the university because I have little time. I am studying and reading all day and if I take other subject I will die.  The most terrifying is that I am not making plans for the weekends. I don't have time for my friends (please forgive friends!)... But I did a promese to myself (in the beginning of the year) about not kill myself with the study, so I will try to relax myself. However I would like to take an artistic activity. I like very much to sing.
About what I am expecting about this academic period, I would like to learn so much without  die in the attempt. I hope to  make more friends and enjoy more the university. But over all... I want to travel!! let me be free!!
That's all folks!

About me...

Hello!
I am Valentina Pizarro and I am 19 years old. I live in Santiago of Chile and I study Sociology in the University of Chile.
I finished school in november 2013 and when I had to decide what to do with my life, I didn't know what to do. I was really worried. Then, when the day of the application came, I was in front of the screen of my laptop and I had three options:
1. Study a degree in History
2. Study a degree in Sociology
3. Study Potics Science

Well, you know what I chose. When I started the career and I had to study things that I'd never learnt in my all life, I started to feel really bad.  But one day, I discoverd that the career  was interesting and I liked it..

I have a loving family, my dad, my mom and my youngest sister. I had six rabbits but now I just have one. My little black rabbit: Diana Ross. And I have one dog: Sacha.
I really love music. Some of my favourites bands and soloist are: Coldplay, Radiohead, Creedence, Pearl Jam, Morrisey, Bon iver, Cat stevens and others more.
Also I like very much movies, my favourite actor is Tom Hanks and I cryed a lot in the Green Mile.
I like a lot the classic musicals: The phantom of the opera, the miserables, the notre dame of paris, etc. I was the Miss Thenadier in a play school and I had to sing like her. Was really difficult

That's all folks!!
